Love of Colour and Pattern:

Joy is a long time BAS member and art teacher. This exhibition includes both collages and paintings in various mediums. It will be on display until late October. Don’t forget to have a look when you are at the studio



Vladimir Tsyskin was born in Odessa, Ukraine and from an early age was interested in Art. He attended the Odessa Art School for four years.
After a jewelry apprenticeship, he became a master jeweler.
Upon migrating to Melbourne in 1979 Vladimir continued to make and design jewelry at his workshop in the City.
However, he never lost his interest in painting and pursued this interest by attending a number of painting and drawing workshops and classes.
He loves painting portraits of ordinary people.


JUNE 2019


BAS member Richard is currently displaying some of his digital art work in the members gallery. His solo show runs from the 1st to the 28th of June. Access to the gallery will be available to members during classes.


Richard's limited edition Giclee prints are available for purchase either framed or unframed in a variety of sizes. The high quality prints are printed on archival paper with archival inks.

MAY 24th 2019


Carol has been painting for about eight years mostly at BAS. At a painting demonstration after a UA3 classes, Carol met Maxine Wade. There after she started watercolour classes with her at BAS. Carol is currently working with oils in Vivi's classes on Friday mornings. Carol said that her next challenge is to master acrylics.
